We're back, and we know you've missed the tangents. But March Madness has delivered yet again, brackets are busted everywhere. Ohio State hired Jake Diebler officially, we discuss our thoughts, breaking news, we aren't thrilled. On the bright side Jesse Mendez won an individual NCAA wrestling title @ 141lbs class, Buckeye women hoops play Duke in the 2nd round and Women's Hockey goes for a Natty today. In the spirit of the Tournament, we have some fun and give our "Final Four" games of the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). 

NFL Free Agency Legal Tampering

The craziness of leaked NFL free agency landings even though they can't sign until Wednesday. College basketball conference tournaments take center stage. Ohio State men need to make a run in the BigTen tournament to even be in consideration but there's a chance. Women's team limps into the NCAA tournament with a lackluster showing in the conference tournament, need to get it figured out quick. We get so sideways on a tangent, we forget what we were talking about, but that happens to everyone...right!?

Spring Forward College Basketball and Spring Football

Ohio State Spring football has arrived, after a long month of February we finally have some football again! Chip Kelly wearing scarlet and gray still seems bizarre, but we like it. Buckeye women had to play Caitlin Clark, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the refs on Sunday. We go off on our signature tangents about Nintendo Entertainment System games, movies, boxing and why things were better back in our day. Stay off our lawns, and if you stop in a round-a-bout, I will run your ass over!

With that show logo, we were accepted/approved for the other podcast platforms including Apple, Samsung and Google, so we are everywhere now. We also created a Twitter/X account @2BaldNutsPod and just excited and appreciative to have this opportunity and people helping us out. March is here and thus the madness begins on college basketball, Ohio State men and women with big games today. We also talk about the NFL and our trademark tangents run the show off the rails!

Buckeye Hoops

Buckeye hoops takes center stage, the Men win in East Lansing for the first time in 12 years on a buzzer beater, but more importantly the Women are on the verge of an outright Big Ten title and already own a share. A win tonite against TTUN clinches and then sets up a showdown on Sunday against Caitlin Clark and Iowa. We talk the NFL combine, trade rumors, and our favorite, Mock Drafts! 

So You're Saying There's a Chance

Ohio State fires their head coach and goes out and beats the #2 team in the country Purdue (Purdont) Boilermakers. We're just as shocked as anyone, but how long does that energy boost last before the emotional collapse? Casey is on the Jake Diebler bandwagon, and optimistic OSU has a chance to make a run and get into the NCAA tourney, I do not. We talk about some of the football coaching staff additions and extensions. And David Silver, NBA commissioner, makes some interesting comments about college basketball and NIL. All that and our now infamous tangents are just a click away. 

Holtmann's out at OSU

What a day! Chris Holtmann is finally out as Ohio State men's basketball coach. We've been calling for this for several years now, some were late to the party, but this had to happen. Timing was a bit sooner than expected but this gives Ross Bjork and OSU time to do an extensive search, and we breakdown the candidates and our pick. Conversely OSU women's basketball continues to dominate up to #2 in the country, and we talk about a little thing called the Super Bowl. 

Help from my Friends

The Big Ten and the SEC decide to collaborate and discuss the state of college athletics... or they are working to separate themselves officially from the other conferences. They must have listened to our show! Buckeye basketball continues to suck, but the women are playing well and have a huge game today against Indiana. Bill O'Brien could be headed to Chestnut Hill to take the Boston College job, but could be more of a family decision than a football decision, which we would support. All this and more, with a little help from our friends.

Same Old Song and Dance

Another game, another loss by Buckeye basketball, same story, another season under Chris Holtmann. Will new Ohio State AD Ross Bjork force his way past Gene Smith to get rid of him? He should, this program is going backwards. At least the #8 ranked Buckeye women keep winning. Casey and I take the gloves off and throw fists over Group of 5 conference schools creating their own playoff/championship. We talk NFL, as the SB is now set between the Niners and Ravens. 

E22 - Rock Bottom

Buckeye basketball hits rock bottom with an embarrassing 25 point loss at Northwestern, and it really wasn't that close. Women's team on the other end of that spectrum picks up a road win at Illinois in a potential trap game after their big win against Iowa last Sunday. Wrestling continues its dual-meet wins streak with a big one over TTUN and the #1 Women's hockey team dominates with another weekend sweep. NFL Conference Championship Sunday has arrived, the last "true" football games of the season.
